Test pieces for penetrant testings

In non-destructive testing, various test pieces are sold for the purpose of various inspections and performance comparison.
For test pieces for penetrant testing, we sell items as below.

Type 1 Reference test piece, Test Piece for Ni-Cr Plating Crack

This test piece is used for deciding the sensitivity level of penetrant.
We sell four kinds in our line-up: 10μm, 20μm, 30μm, and 50μm.

Type 2 Reference test piece, Test Piece for Ni-Cr Plating

This test piece is used for process management.
It is the test piece with surfaces with four kinds of roughness and flaws in five different sizes.

Type 3 Reference test piece, Test Piece for Aluminum Quench Crack

This test piece is used for evaluating the performance of flaw detection materials, etc.
There is a groove in the center of the test piece, and different flaw detection materials are applied to the left and right sides to compare indicated patterns.

PSM-5 (Sherwin Inc.)

PSM-5 is a test piece (test panel) specified in the ASTM Standards (ASTM E 1417).
It is used at the site of fluorescent penetrant testing of aircraft parts, and we sell the two kinds below in our line-up.

• Polish type (the surface of test piece is polished like a mirror surface)
• Grid type (the surface of test piece is coarse)
