Test pieces for magneticparticle testing

In non-destructive testing, various test pieces are sold for the purpose of various inspections and performance comparison.
We sell following items as test pieces for magnetic particle testing.

A-type standard test piece

A-typestandardtest pieces are used for following purposes.

To check strength and direction of magnetic field applied to the testing surface
To inspect performance of equipment, magnetic particles and inspection liquids
To set the effective area for flaw detection
To check test operation and conditions

In addition, the model numbers of test pieces have the following meanings.
[Depth of artificial flaw] / [thickness of plate] (shape of artificial flaw) *Unit: µm

Example: In the case of a test piece called A1-30/50 (round shape), it indicates that is has the following specifications.

Thickness of plate: 50µm
Depth of artificial flaw: 30µm
Shape of artificial flaw: round shape

How to use the A-type standard test piece

Attach the test piece with adhesive tape, with the surface having artificial flaws into close contact with the testing surface.

The adhesive tape must not cover the part of artificial flaws on the reference test piece
Application of magnetic particles to the A-type standard test piece is made with the continuation method.
The A-type standard test piece must not be used if any change occurs in its initial shape, size, and magnetic property.
